Depends how big your dent it. Normally u pol epoxy will do the job, I've started using that as a base and skimming over with a glaze coat (dolphin glaze is the one I used). This will take out any pinholes and is generally easy to use. Likewise if you have really light filling to do just use a glaze coat.
Other tip for filler is buy plenty of spreaders as trying to apply extra filler with a clogged spreader will put dried chunks in your din and scratch the filler as you're aplying it
