    That Time of the Year

Post by Wally on Sun Jul 01, 2012 10:27 am

MOT time is here again. Not taking it to my usual place, but a superbike specialist. Tho I saw a PX parked round the back so I'm hoping they're sympathetic. Still, it means I may need to wash my scooter Rolling Eyes

I'm going to try and sort out a front brake light switch today. Have one in a box of bits and I just know they'll pull me up on it if I don't

It's after '86 you need 'em. To be honest I really can't be arsed doing any work to the scoot today. If it fails tomorrow, as it's about 1/4 mile up the road it's no hassle going for a re test

    Nice one wal

front brake light switch is something im abit worried about on mine.
I know mine is a 1979 and is exempt but I had a brake light switch on my last for my last Mot and was a smart move as I upgraded to a front disc.

But now ive ditched the semi hydrualic and gone fully hydraulic but now I cant fit one as my M/C doesnt take one. hmm, my front end is a really responsive break setup now.

Taxed now and all. To be fair the gadgie was alright - like I say I expected him to be a bit more stringent being a superbike place (tho it was round the back of an industrial estate in the middle of nowhere

I'm sure you could rig something up shaggs as long as you can create some sort of breakable connection on the lever and mount itsself if you get what I mean... or just get into the habit of pushing you rear brake when you pull your front albino
