I used a standard GP200 for well over a year day in day out for work and rallies with very little issues, I personally find Vespas harder to work on due to limited space which makes roadside repair very difficult, I've also found that although Lambrettas tend to require more tinkering and maintenance you can normally get home on it and then fix problem, when it's a Vespa it breaks and it's the big yellow taxi home

I was using my lambretta every day for work... But I've changed jobs and the comute is much longer and most of it is on fast dual carrige way compared to a short commute on quite country roads. So I'm in the car till I've done my probation, then I'll risk it on my scooters darkly regularly.

How does that go Tom? Any good? I alway imagine the standard 200's to be dog shit slow. Don't know why, think because of all the people that tune them.

Yeah they are slow, PHBH 30 and a stirling or similar exhaust will see it upto a good 65-70 though

Many people swear by a standard 200 lammy motor. Not as much fun but give good reliability and fuel economy.
