    Clicking Noise?

Post by NorthernJordan on Thu Sep 06, 2012 9:00 am

The lambretta seems to have developed a clicking noise. I'm not 100% sure where its coming from, its either gewrbox or flywheel. It's hard to tell as when you listen to gearbox all I can hear is exhaust noise and the flywheel carb noise. Lol
I have two theories, there is a dust cover on the flywheel and there's a small rivet in the center and this has fallen out, into the fan cowling so I guess his could be rattling around. And, the layshaft I was using if the gears and sliding dog didn't line up with the "grooves" on the layshaft it would make a slight clicking when turning the years by hand. The layshaft was almost brand new looking, but not certain as it was in the garage. But the condidtion was spot on.

Is this a problem to worry about?
