I managed to bodge a knackered sealing to get me the few miles home with a well placed bit of gaffa tape over the carb. And when my ignition was playing silly buggers round cornwall, I found a new plug every 50 miles would sort of fix it. Did 600 miles like that too

Best roadside bodge I've heard of is someone putting a nut and bolt through their piston crown after they holed it... worked too apparently.

Must have been a pretty short headed bolt not to smash the plug to bits

My plug cap went and my father had the spare... Unfortunately he went home from the rally the day ealier. Luckily the LCGB van was behind me, so off with the side pannel and rode with me foot on the cap holding it on! Very Happy

Ive done a few cable bodges and gaffe tape on plug caps etc etc

Throttle cable snap - shoe lace
Rear shock snapped - coke can & shoe lace
Split carb rubber - sock & shoe lace

Only when I write this down I realise why I always lose my shoes on Friday night
