    18 I.D. at rallys?

Post by Jamie on Sun Jan 20, 2013 11:09 pm

Something i just remembered, at a few rallies last year i was id'ed to get in to the night doos. its a bit contradictive when they are trying to get more youngsters into scootering. i think it should be changed to over 16s, cos i know people who would want to go to events but wouldn't get in. and if you rode there and pay full price on the gate, you should be able to get in.

its not down to the organisers, its the venues, there are different licensing laws for premises, some are strictly over 18's entry only, e.g. night clubs and bars etc after a certain time,

then your sort of bar/cafe's have different restrictions based on time, so under 18's are allowed into a certain time, and under 16's allowed in with parents etc etc

then you have places like kelso, mablethorpe, etc where your allowed into the venue under 18 but there are supposed to be stricter id checks on the bars, e.g. id if you look under 25

Jamie I'll be your dad so you can come into the do's, I've been I.d'd at kelso in the town but can't remember being asked at any rally event for I.d.If you look 10 and have come with your mum and dad I understand being asked but if youre a scruffy bastard who's rode to a rally you shouldnt even have to prove your age.

Remember G Yarmouth rally when I was 17 and didn't get I.D once (and I have a proper baby face). Guess I looked like a scruffy bastard that rode there then haha. Think it's partly to do with the bunch you mingle in with on the way in too

OI think how pissed you are before you head to the venue also has an effect on weather you get I.D.

I feel left out. I've never been ID'd at a rally. Even when we were out in newquay the bloke behind the bar checked everyone else's, then laughed at me when I went to get mine

TBF i only get ID'd when im out in the town on a rally. But much less then i would out locally... I got ID'd at Cleethorpes and the bouncers were trying to tell me it was an over 21s event. I told them it wasnt (as it wasnt), finally got let and told the organizers. However, i dont think my having a pirate hat and patch on helped my cause with the bouncers...
