    MOT test time

Post by Axiom on Wed Mar 27, 2013 12:45 am

So I have my MOT soon, what do they check for and how long is the test? My steering lock doesn't work would that be a fail?

You should be fine with the lock. Basically as long as your lights, horn and indicators work and the brakes work reasonably well (or as well as they can on a vesps) then you're reet. Things to check are the steering and wheel bearings, check for no play, 'notches' and tight spots.

Make sure you book it in with a place that is "scooter friendly". Some time when MOT testers dont understand what they are looking at they can be harsh.
