    The Selecter are
    playing at the Liverpool o2 Academy, 11-13 Hotman Street, L3 5UF near Lime
    Street Station on Sunday 3rd March. Tickets plus booking fee and postage are

    Indie 'Creation Records' legends My Bloody
    Valentine have just released their first album in 22 years called 'm.b.v' and
    are doing a world tour to promote it. They are playing the Manchester Apollo,
    Stockport Road, M12 6AP. Doors open 7p.m. All standing tickets for this gig are
    now sold out and there are only a few seats tickets left for about £30 each but
    if you really, really want a standing ticket they are going on ebay for between
    £50 to £100.

    The Strypes are doing an extra show at Leaf, Bold
    Street, Liverpool on Saturday 16th March. All tickets for the aged 18 and over
    evening show are now sold out so the band are doing a aged 14 and over matinee
    show. Same Day, same venue. If you look under 21 please take some I.D. to prove
    your age. Tickets are no more then £7 in total [ticket, booking fee, postage].

    The Nu Beat Club is a new
    club night of Soul, R'n'B, Ska and Reggae and kicks off on Saturday 30th March
    9p.m. till 2a.m. at The Waldorf, near Piccadilly Station Train Station,
    Manchester. Admission is £5.

    The New Untouchables have yet another 'Le
    Beat Bespoke' event in London running from Thursday 28th till Sunday 31st March.
    The Strypes and Cornershop and other bands are playing plus D.J.s and etc'....Go

    Edwin Collins [ex lead singer of Orange Juice] is playing the Liverpool
    Philharmonic Hall on Saturday 20th April. Tickets are £17.50 plus booking
    fee.

    Get ready to stand in a queue early in the morning out side Probe
    and 3 Beat Records in Liverpool and other parts of the country because on
    Saturday 20th April is 'Record Store Day' and for one day only [till next year]
    there will be very limited edition vinyl to buy from just about every recording
    artist in the world both old and new. A list of all that will be on sale will be

    Widnes Scooter Club presents 'Modrophenia 2' another
    cocktail of Motown, Northern and Club Soul with a liberal sprinkling of R'n'B,
    Ska and Blue Beat from D.J.s Cog, Tommy and Wogga on Friday 26th April at the
    Birchfield Sports and Social Club, Birchfield Road, Widnes, WA8 9ES. £3 pay on
    the door. Loads of people went to the last one so please arrive early if you
    want a table and seat. Dress to impress.

    Dexy's and lots of other
    band's will be playing the Liverpool Sound City event that runs from Thursday
    2nd to Saturday 4th May. Dexy's are playing on the Saturday at the Anglican
    Cathedral. How cool is that? There are no tickets for this event you have to go
    to www.liverpoolsoundcity.co.uk
    and buy a wrist band. A full weeked wristband gets you into all the events that
    are on.

    At The Cavern and other venues in the area we have the '11th
    Internation Pop Overthrow' that runs from Tuesday 14th till Tuesday 21st May. A
    lot of Mod Type bands play this event more then any other in the country and
    Monkeeman, The Ace, Elgazelle are just three of then. Lots more bands to be
    added soon. Most of the gigs are free but there may be a small charge of up to
    £5 at The Cavern at peak times. If you like 60's influenced and Power Pop type
    bands who are not scared of getting on stage and playing their own songs then
    this is the event for you. Give it a try, you'll love it.

    The Specials
    are playing the Liverpool Olympia on West Derby Road on Saturday 18th May. This
    gig is now sold out.

    Suggs [lead singer of Madness] is doing a show
    called 'My Life Story' at the Warrington Parr Hall on Thursday 30th March. For

    June 1st is the Widnes Scooter Club Dream Day. This is a brilliant charity day
    with lots to do, bands and lots and lots of scooters. Please make an effort to
    turn up. The is so much to say about this day so if you want the full story go

    Liverpool's own The Romleys and Mad Hat Ska are just two of the bands playing
    that day.

    The Stone Roses should hopefully have a new album out this
    year and the are off on tour again. Gigs in the U.K. are Finsbury Park on Friday
    7th and 8th June, The Isle of Wight Festival on Friday 14th June and Glasgow
    Green on Saturday 15th June. Please bear in mind some of the gigs are already
    sold out.

    Late 80's Indie band The Primitives are back together and are
    playing Eric's, Liverpool on Sunday 23rd June.

    The Who are playing the
    last night of their Quadrophenia Tour at the Liverpool Echo Arena on Sunday
    30th June. Plus the Goldhawks Scooter Club are planing are a large scooter ride
    out and a pre and after show party at the Liverpool Marina Bar and Grill, Coburg
    Wharf, Sefton Street, L3 4BP. More details when we have them.

    Thursday 27th till Saturday 30th June is the very popular 'Glasgow Mod Weekender'. Georgie Fame and Big Boss Man are just two of the artists on the bill plus lots of top Mod D.J.s. Go to Facebook for more info'.

    Simon Townsend, The
    Universal and The Real People are playing the Liverpool o2 Academy on Monday 1st

    Friday 5th and Saturday 6th July is the Dreamsville Mod
    Weekend at Lowestoft.

    The Charlatans are playing a gig at Delamere
    Forest on Sunday 7th July. Other artists are yet to be added to the line up.

    The Electric Stars Rock'n'Roll Circus is
