Yea you're pretty much buggered on that count - not that it matters now but they give an allowance for speedo error of 10% of the speed limit plus 2 mph, so you can do 35 in a 30 without being given a ticket and likewise 79 mph is the proper limit on motorways Razz

I work on the theory that if you look/act like a twat, the filth will be more likely to take an interest in you and your scoot. Proper gear, decent lid make a huge difference IME. The Speedo is pretty odd - it's not a requirement for an MoT, but a working one is required by law Rolling Eyes

I've now got my speedo working again this week (only took us about a year!) and it feels a bit of a luxury (vaguely) knowing my speed

Tull, yes mate I'm off to Wakey - have replied on the topic in events Wink

speeding ticket? Surely thats a badge of honour for a scooter rider!

If you had been pulled on the motorway that would have been very impressive... :p :p

I can imagine riding in Leeds does your nut in if you've not done it before - you did well though Jord, even if the gods of traffic lights did not smile upon ye!

If you remember 'road rash' on the sega; riding in Leeds is a bit like that... Laughing

Fast roads, plenty of lights, loads of weird junctions and 2 lane motorways that appear in the middle of A roads Rolling Eyes

You get used to it after a while and you realize that people aren't trying to kill you specifically Rolling Eyes
