    80's Accessories

Post by NorthernJordan on Tue Sep 06, 2011 4:07 am

I know its wrong, but i am really liking the plastic 80's style accessories and have just put some black plastic indicato grills on the T5. Who else is with me?
I am getting tempted by a drivers screen too...

Don't listen to Dean, Jord. 80s tat is all the rage! - the only thing I'd say about when I had my super gordon screen is it rattled about to buggery when you were at a standstill and blew air right at my head... still love them though. I'm after a FAR screen next (bit different), more grills and a bradford backrest Very Happy

...got an eye on another pole position seat as well - my white one got took off after I kept getting oilly finger prints on it

This is the problem you'll come up against - 80s T5 bits are like rocking horse shit - they come up now and again but are a fair price when they do.

So just grab what you can, as shaggy says if it's not the colour you want just spray it yourself. It's what I did to my screen, took us 2 days to rub it down mind as it was covered in a thick layer of ancient green 'monster' paint.

I always like the screens colour matched with the bodywork myself. There's a red FAR on fleabay at the minute *nudge nudge* not cheap tho, but it is NOS Rolling Eyes

I personally wouldn't put a accessories on my scoot, maybe a a backrest or luggage carrier so i could roam to a rally.
But then again, my scooter doesn't even work so i really shouldn't have a opinion on this really lol!

I reckon a working PK engine would be your ultimate 80s accessory Razz

I have no desire to fit every plastic piece of 80's throw back going, just a screen and some grills. Smile

yea you will be able to fit a grill under the screen, though not sure I'd have both - either or for me, but each to one's own and that Wink
