    From across the pond..

Post by AceMover on Sun Sep 18, 2011 2:02 pm

Big up to to the Young Guns!

My name is Travis and I reside across the pond in Florida, USA. Moved from New Jersey where I was in a Scooter Club with a few of my friends around the same age (21-25), affiliated with the Mod/Skinhead scenes in our areas. I ride a 79' Late P200E (USA Spec) and have a 74 VMA2 Primavera that is getting a mechanical restoration.

Other than working on bikes, I enjoy collecting and DJing Early Reggae and Northern Soul.

Lookin' forward to corresponding with all of you sterling chaps!

There doesn't seem to be much of a scene in South East Florida, but I do intend on setting up a Soul Club down here.

I previously resided in New Jersey and would take my P200E across the bridge and highway to Philadelphia, where the Mod/Skinhead scene was pretty vibrant. Monthly Skinhead Reggae DJ Nights and Soul nights too (I was just starting a Northern night).

Time to start building down in SE Florida.. Wink

I guess the problem with the scene in america, is that america is massive!

Most people have to fly to a scooter rally! Laughing

I was looking on facebook a while back and there was loads of photos from the mid 90's of hundreds of scooters in california (i think) the scene looked great tbh.

Tenting in Cali is a much nicer thought than tenting at Kelso!
