A PX125e has electronic ignition, which in theory make it more reliable. Where as a PX125 has the more fashion points based system. I can't imagine parts are hard to get for either of them as just about all p range parts are interchangeable, with some slight differences.

I think I have got this right

it was the p125x that was the points - basically if it has an 'e' in the name somewhere it's got the 12v electronic kit which is much more reliable and less pissing about. Anything from the late 80s was called the PX (efl onward) IIRC they stopped doing points around 1980, so anything after that will be reet.

All P range spares are pretty easy to come by, with the exclusion of the mk1 T5, but even then you only have to look a bit harder before you find them eventually

But most people will sell them as a PX125 even if they are a electronic ignition, so it is worth checking the build date before you right it off. But if you can find a non indicator version cheap, go for it!
