    Going lardy next year!

Post by Skajosh on Thu Dec 15, 2011 5:26 am

Right lads, before shaggs or anyone starts crying Wink
    I'm keeping my smallie!
I'm getting a lardie so i can run back and forth to rallies and have a pillion on the back when i pass my full test which will be next year!
Anyway looking to get a lardy about mid-way through next year so about june time :')
was thinking a t5 but I'd happily have something that just runs!
So what price am i looking at?
Gonna restore the smallie when i get something else to use.
    Very Happy

This is what i would pay for a real minter of a T5 i would say 1500-1700. But it has to be spot on to be worth that. Tatty but working 1300ish give or take.

Love my T5, been solid and fast got me ever where but i did brake down on the way home from a rally! Razz

I wouldn't pay 1700 for a T5 mate, even if it was mint. I reckon if you go out with £1000 - £1200 in cash you'll get something that's decent and if you're not in that much of a rush to buy then you can afford to be picky. If you're doing your test anyway why not get a P2?

I have a suspicion that mine may be up for sale next year and all Wink

Why go lardy when you can take all that money you are going to spend and kit the shit out of the smallie? The smallie will be more powerful and able to ride 2up than any largeframe with some time, effort, and cash.

What are you thinking of if you sell wally?

It would be something sepcial for me to part with 1700. I may be going the p200 route rather than lambretta.

Would be looking at 1200 quid I reckon.

Still sticking with the Vespas, I just quite miss my old P2 and fancy a cutdown pirat

    Sounds well decent wal!
Depends what happens tbh mate and how much i can afford.
I'll deffo get another scoot, but i might have to put the test on hold if i don't have much funding for a scoot.
If i'm just hitting above a grand in june i'll just get a scoot and ride with the L's for a few months before i take my test.
    So i reckon it's best getting a 125 Smile

I'm gonna tune my smallie when i get round to it, i'd just prefer to get another scoot for going about on nothing majorly tuned.
Although i do have some deep plans for the smallie for winter next year so Wink

Keep me posted on if you sell yours wal, i'll be down on having it off you Smile
