    £70 to register it, that's with a Year's tax

    Pass your CBT
Buy your scooter (in this case unregistered)
Phone around insurance companies etc. and ask them if they insure on the chassis number
insure it on that, ask them to send you through proof it's insured on the chassis (they should do this for 2 weeks) go to your local DVLA office, or phone up, get them to send all the forms to you or you can do it at the office, do all that crap, hand them the forms proof and the rest of it, and the £70, sit and wait!

When your registration number comes through with your V5, It'll have your tax disc and all your forms that you handed in, then phone your insurance company and change it over to the registration number.

You need a dating certificate from the VCB, then you need to get the scooter an MOT and insure it on the frame number. then you will have to go for a dvla inspection and then they will issue you with a reg number, I think I have this right

If you do manage to do over 40 on a pk 100, it'll only be on the Speedo not real life

Sorry Jack, I forgot some technical terms mean nothing to others new to scooters Embarassed Embarassed

I meant the stroke of the crank, a pk50 has a 43mm stroke , 80cc upwards have a 51mm stroke apart form older models ,the longer stroke ups the CC and ups the Tourque

But seriously, you may struggle to find a bargain that doesn't need work doing or hasn't been messed with at some point.
