Did you ever manage to get the clutch unit properly sorted, as you said the plates were sticking

if its the clutch plates that are sticking, then its probably because you have worn into the teeth on each of your plates,

i used to regularly do this on my px 125 and my px200 with the cosa clutch,

just fit new plates and or a new basket if the basket is also damaged or worn down where the clutch plate teeth sit.

oh and also put new oil in too

HAVE YOU TIGHTENED THE CABLE RIGHT UP UNTIL THE POINT THE CLUTCH IS PERMANENTLY ENGAGED?

IF SO ASIDE FROM THE OBVIOUS LIKE, IS BRASS PLUNGER FITTED, CONDITION OF PRESSURE PLATE SPRING ETC THEN IT'S EASIEST TO JUST REPLACE CLUTCH INSTEAD OF HUNTING OUT THE WORN PART

IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS I'VE CHANGED 5 OR SO SEEMINGLY PERFECT CLUTCHES BECAUSE THE BASKET HAS BEEN SLIGHTLY FLARED, ALMOST UN-NOTICABLE TO THE EYE, THE SNEAKY FUCKERS

SHAGGY IS RIGHT COSA CLUTCHES ARE A CUNT ESPECIALLY NEWFREN ONES BUT STICK WITH IT, WHEN SET UP RIGHT THEY SAVE AN ACHING WRIST, WHICH IN TURNS GAINS YOU A FEW EXTRA WANKS A YEAR
