    vespa gts 300 =

going to change the rear brake pads for ebc sintered as im getting pissed off with it squealing when braking softly

    lambretta gp 150 -

finally got it sorted so that it can be mot'd, taxed and insured on the road for me to ride, but it needs -

new steering bearings, new springs in the forks, dampers fitting to the forks, forks spraying black, front and back hubs spraying black, 3 lots of rims spraying white, new stand feet, new front brake cable outer, new tyres and second hand jl2 exhaust fitting

streetracer px project - put on the back burner until lammy is fully sorted -

needs - engine porting, long stroke crank, engine rebuilding, new bearings and seals, floor boards respraying, under sealing, all the body parts re fitting, battery needs relocating under the fuel tank, sip tubeless rims need powder coating, new front hub needs spraying black, needs a panel clip welding back onto the frame, fast flow tap fitting to the tank, the list goes on, i think im going to have to do it bit by bit, or work front to back on it

also can this thread be made a sticky please

sounds like ya CDI or a bad earth somewhere - get a wire brush and clean the earth contact that comes off it before you buy a new CDI

if its CDI it'll be reluctant to start and when you get above half throttle it'll wanna cut out

is it worse when its wet? if theres a crack in the CDI the moisture gets in and stops it working properly

lol - mine changes its mind all the time bout how much fuel it uses - kelso was 96 miles and it used a tank, but to southport it was 130 miles n it used 2 - hows that work lol

mines started to clunk (the same as what you get when you change from neutral to first) when i change into any gear, i dunno whether its clutch cable or gear cables causing it

Depends how much your gunning it, also up and down the gears round town eats fuel alot.

the clutch cable may need some slight adjusting there mate, gearbox shimming might be a tad slack to...I imagine it will be fine tho, these engine are generally pretty clunky anyway

nothings been adjusted on the clutch since i replaced the seal last year so it probs will be the cable

kelso was loadsa hills, lots of changing between 4th n 3rd - but southport was mostly country roads where i was in 4th mosta the time
