erm, the old 80's style thing to put a car stereo in was a bit of a fad, the section with it in was a grp mould which went over the curve where the petrol tap is etc, then the unit would poke out beneath your crotch, then some car stereo speakers cut and bolted into the tool box door,

the wiring is the hardest part, making sure you have the correct fuses etc,

nowadays though, you can do it with speakers in your tool box door then a very small amp that fits in your butty box which you can connect your ipod or phone to play music from, you can get cheap mini amps from amazon, type in motorbike amplifier or mini mp3 amp, you will find one there really cheap.

iv seen a few like this where they then also have the plastic drinks tray that sits on top of your butty box where a wire pops through and you can pop your ipod there and it won't fall out.

mate you can get them so you run a cable from your battery into tool box break with a 10 amp fuse an put into a little amplifier that then has a usb lead and all that so also chargers phones an then the speakers go in tool box on px

Was thinking about getting this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorbike-Scooter-Bike-Handlebar-Speakers-Radio-And-Amplifier-System-MP3-IPOD-/370585609429?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item56489fa4d5#ht_1989wt_1396 Could mount the speakers on the front rack and run the cables to the amp in the tool box and have them hooked up to a spare battery

you want something a bit bigger than that - think if you've got the speakers on chances are your engine will be on at the same time

i typed in Marine Speakers on ebay and got a second hand pair of 6" sony ones off a boat, fully waterproof and i've got the console to go between me legs and me step dad's old tape deck from his car

I've seen people on the LML forum mount their speakers just under the glovebox (probably held on by the wires only) which saves you cutting up your door

Tool boxes are easy to get a hold of, so I wouldn't worry about cutting them Wink

you can buy the console, its a piece of fibre glass that attaches to the front seat bolt, but you have to get rid of the helmet hook

it dont have to be the neatest cut toolbox ever - the speaker will have an overhang that'll cover the scraggy bits

    beedspeed do them

    http://beedspeed.com/product_info.php?products_id=2071

they also do a full wiring harness that has the extra wires for the radio if you're doing a rebuild - but if not its not worth it Smile
