    fancy an E-bretta or a V-Tronic...

Post by NorthernJordan on Wed May 16, 2012 8:33 am

Take a loook at these bad boys, that Saigon scooter centre may be putting into production. Apparently, there will be a full feature in scootering magazine with more info and specs. They look good to me though.

I'll get some pics up of the V-tronic soon too.

Those look fucking amazing! A lot better than the ones currently in production, and I don't mind those.

all depends on what you would use them for,

depending on the speeds and the range will depend on who buys them,

for example if they are only short range e.g. 50-60 mile per full charge, with a top speed of 50mph, then they will appeal to those who commute within cities,

but not to us rally going scooterists,

if it has a good range of around 100 miles + and does upto 60mph then it might appeal to some of us,

any new classic looking product has to perform in the range between p200 and gts 300 in order to appeal to the scootering masses

my only concern is that unless the panels, mudguard and parts of the frame are grp carbon fibre or light weight aluminium, they weight is going to severly hinder an electric motors pulling power

Looking at a few grand for one, dubious about speed...Probably would have one if the price was right.

unless they go like shit off a stick and cost less than their normal smoke belching 2 stroke counterpart, I can't see these selling. Interesting technical exercise, market flop (if they get to production stage)

I'd say atleast 50-60mph, short charge time and cheap finance and I would have one, after all it looks the part...

The price isn't stupid and it'd be handy round some where like London. But could it be a rally scooter? No, so I'm out!

its not practical for scooter rallies and for that price you could buy an LML 4 Stroke brand new and have enough left over for a good couple of rallies too

So if for example I were to go to Mersea (200 miles) on one of these it'd take me in excess of 24 hours of riding and recharging, stopping 7 times on the way to 'fill up'. I can't see there being much of an uptake on these Laughing
