    Carb Gasket help :)

    ive just remembered when i got sold my p150x engine he told me i was missing a gasket. he said it was a rubber gasket between the top half and bottem half of the carb. i have a gasket set and am just wondering if anyone no's where abouts he ment?? maybe someone has a diagramme to show me where it goes? thanks Smile

    the carb will be in a tray on top of the engine. I dont know if there is a seal between the top and bottom trays. If the carb inside the tray is any thing like a lammy one, there will be a wat of separating the carb. The bottom half will have the float in it, there should be a seal inbetween the top ane bottom.

    yea i no where the carb is haha, yep checked there and everything seems ok theres gaskets there Suspect

    lol, search vespa px carb. Theres a few guides for stripping them down. It might be worth stripping carb and cleaning it, the jets and the air filter.

    There's only 1 rubber seal on the vespa carb - it's about the size of a 2p coin and goes round the lip under the circular metal cover above the banjo (fuel pipe inlet)

    Not having one isn't a huge drama running wise, it's there to stop fuel leaking into the carb tray

    yea wal thats the only place i could think and theres one there so i guess i do have it, dont no what he was on about then :S

    Just had a thought - it could be the rubber grommet on the overflow thingy - again it's not that important

    right on the bottom of the carb near the front there's a small tube that points downward into a hole on the carb box - I think it's more of a buffer than a gasket
